Multifamily Programs
The Multifamily Energy Savings (MFES) program is designed to deliver comprehensive and cost-effective energy efficiency and weatherization measures to income-qualified multifamily property owners and tenants across California. We serve deed and non-deed restricted multifamily buildings in California.
Metropolitan offers incentives to install premium high-efficiency toilets (1.1 gallons per flush or less) in apartment buildings and other multi-family properties. Metropolitan will offer a $250 rebate to replace toilets using 1.6 gallons or higher per flush.
100% pre-installation inspection is required. Funding is limited. Local agencies will not be adding additional funds.
The program assists L.A.’s low income, multifamily property owners. CAMR will offer multifamily property owners free property assessments to identify efficiency opportunities to help owners and their residents to save energy and reduce costs. In addition, qualified property owners will receive aid with work scope development and the contractor procurement process.
The SoCalREN Multifamily Program provides two ways to help you upgrade your property:
Technical Assistance: An energy and green building consultant will work with you to identify cost-effective upgrade measures for your project and connect you to applicable incentive Programs.
Incentives: Improvement incentives help offset the cost of purchasing and installing energy conservation measures, such as upgrades to lighting, water heating, and HVAC systems.
Opportunities for improvements can range from a system replacement to a full rehabilitation. The Program design is based on analysis of how your property uses energy as a whole, and encourages full building, integrated upgrades rather than individual measures.
TECH Clean California incentives will be available to residents in the San Fernando Valley impacted by the Aliso Canyon Gas storage facility. These incentives are designed to electrify more homes in this area and lessen the reliance of natural gas.
Beginning in late summer 2026, Aliso Canyon Priority Communities -- including Porter Ranch, Granada Hills, Northridge, Chatsworth, North Hills, Canoga Park, Reseda, Winnetka, West Hills, Van Nuys, and Lake Balboa – will be eligible for TECH Clean California heat pump HVAC and heat pump water heater incentives. Income-qualifying residents can also select incentives for heat pump clothes dryers, induction stoves, and more. Plus, income-qualifying incentives may cover the full installation costs. (Priority community ZIP Codes include: 91303, 91304, 91305, 91306, 91307, 91308, 91309, 91311, 91312, 91313, 91316, 91324, 91325, 91326, 91327, 91328, 91329, 91330, 91335, 91337, 91343, 91344, 91401, 91402, 91403, 91404, 91405, 91406, 91407, 91408, 91409, 91410, 91411, 91412, 91413, 91416, 91423, 91426, 91436.)
Commercial Programs
LADWP’s Commercial Lighting Incentive Program (CLIP) provides rebates on the installation of newly purchased and installed energy-efficient lighting and controls. CLIP’s calculated savings approach allows you to tailor your lighting efficiency upgrades to better meet your lighting needs, attain greater energy savings, and receive higher incentives.
The Measured Savings Program is an aggregator-delivered, pay-for-performance program delivering measurable impacts at the meter. The program targets demand-side interventions that reduce summer peak load for Southern California Edison (SCE) customers.
